Automatic updates

Lodelai downloads new versions on its own. Click to switch when one is ready.

When it's ready, an icon appears in the status bar. Clicking it restarts lodelai into the new version; it never quits on its own while you work.

Check yourself

• lodelai › Check for Updates… in the menu bar
• Check Now in the Updates row of Settings › About

You see Checking, then right away whether you're up to date, a new version is on its way, or it couldn't check.

If something's off

• "Can't get updates" — You opened it from the downloaded file, or lodelai can't write to its folder. Move it to Applications and open it again.
• "Couldn't install version x.y.z" — The signature didn't match, disk space ran out, or the install itself failed. You can keep using the current version, and it'll try again at the next check.
